First Polish offline meeting

The first Polish INCLUSO face-to-face meeting took place in Krakow on the 5th and 6th of June 2009. It gathered 35 young people, as well as the staff working for INCLUSO. Most of the participants had not known each other prior to the pilot, so they were waiting for the meeting impatiently, looking forward to seeing their colleagues in real life. It was a great opportunity to get a team spirit in the group of people, who had seen each other only on the computer monitor.

The agenda of the meeting included team building workshop, simualtion of various ways of online communication, work on personal and group motivations and some leisure activities (a disco, a walk around the city). The meeting appeared to be a great success. First of all, it was partly organised by the youngsters themselves - 10 participants contributed a lot to the preparation process. Secondly, the participants started calling themselves "the INCLUSO group". If we had not organised the meeting, we would have never obtained that feeling of belonging. And finally, since the meeting the young people have become much more active online. As we can see - virtual life is great as far as it is supported by real life.
