In individual coaching it is not so easy to work on personality issues with the young people. They are shy and especially very careful to talk about themselves in interviews. They always think that there is some suspicious reason for the interviews.  Using the young people’s creativity makes it easier to let the youngsters think about their own personality.  

Tonuso started to use Buddy Poke (sort of avatar) on the Netlog sites, and for youngsters under the age of 13 we use Buddy poke on the Ning network.

At start, the coach explained how the Buddy poke worked and created an avatar. The youngster experimented for a few weeks with it and created his own buddy poke with a personal look, clothing, mood and actions. This is later on used as an entry point that the coach can use to discuss differences and similarities between the real and the online personality of the young people.
