At Tonuso, in Brussels, young people are encouraged to philosophize on questions like “What is a city? – What is my place in the city?”. After the discussion, the most important issues are linked to art and photography. 

After the discussons, they walk around the city, together with a coach and take pictures with a digital camera of places they find important: places where they hang out with friends, school, etc. These pictures are put on the internal Ning platform. Then, they are encouraged to look at each others pictures, to rate them,  to start philosophical discussions. This encourages to express themselves to others and promotes social and communication skills. The platform is a closed environment that is only available to the young people residing at Tonuso.

This concept has proven to be very motivating for the young people. They talk about things they usually don't mention and they meet each other around themes that are not so common.
