Case 2: Management support can really help

The management at the Tonuso project in Brussels has been involved right from the start of the INCLUSO project. While there were questions on the impact and return of this investment in social media, the management supported the initiatives that were taken. This involved time being allocated to work on the activities set up within INCLUSO, that hardware and software was purchased, that training was organised and so on.

One full time staff member was working on INCLUSO and other staff members were given the time to collaborate on specific activities. During staff meetings, INCLUSO became part of the agenda. This support was sometimes needed when resistance from within the organisation occurred. It sure made a whole lot of difference and was a key component of the successes of the whole INCLUSO pilot at Tonuso.
